Join us for a caregiver & child social hour before our Thursday outdoor story time! Toys and books will be provided for the Littles and coffee will (sometimes) be provided for the Grownups.

A textile craftsmanship group that meets weekly to work on and share their own projects created by knitting, felting, tatting, weaving, embroidery, spinning, etc.  Participants are encouraged to bring along their unfinished projects for a little inspiration and guidance.

Genealogy help desk

Drop in to our volunteer-led genealogy help desk with volunteer Tim Lynch in the main area of the library, across from the Information Desk. 

Tim can help you with: ancestry.com, family tree construction, record keeping, digital resources, local historical societies

Please note: this is a volunteer-led help desk and will occur MOST Tuesdays. Every Tuesday is not guaranteed. Call 207-781-2351 x140 if you would like to make sure Tim is here any given week.

Cookbook club

Sample delicious new recipes every 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Falmouth Memorial Library's Cookbook Club! Choose a recipe from the cookbook of the month, prepare your recipe at home, then bring it to the library to share with others. Please let us know at reference@falmouthmemoriallibrary.org or 207-781-2351 x140 which recipe you have chosen so we can avoid duplicates. 

Registration is required as space is limited. Registration opens one month prior to the event and must be done online or over the phone.

We will order you a copy of the cookbook as soon as you register; register early to have more time to spend choosing your favorite recipe!

Preschool Storytime

Our Preschool Storytime is for slightly older children. These sessions focus more on storybook readings rather than songs and movement.

Device Advice

Device Advice is your go-to resource for all your technology queries and concerns. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and no sign-up. Assistance is limited to 30 minutes. Sessions can be extended if no other patrons are waiting. Bring your device or questions, and we'll see what we can do!

Short Story Discussion Group

Don't have time to read a whole book for a book club? 

Join us to discuss bite-size short stories instead! Every other week, the group meets to discuss a story or two from a specific collection. New members are encouraged to join any time!
