THIS EVENT IS RESCHEDULED FROM 4/3 DUE TO WEATHER

This learning event will explore AI in its historical and current contexts and examine the scope of how AI could change society. Along the way, we'll ask and address: Who owns AI? What are the ethical issues that come with using it? Should we be skeptical of the good and bad potential of AI, and what is required for using AI for the common good?

Dr. Raj Saha is a research manager at the New York Times and a lecturer in data science and AI at The Roux Institute at Northeastern University. He is passionate about the democratization of data and technology and how they could be thoughtfully utilized toward building sustainable solutions.

This is an online event. Event URL will be sent via registration email.

This event is co-sponsored by Prince Memorial Library, Scarborough Public Library, and Thomas Memorial Library.
