Event Details

The Falmouth Memorial Library and the Town of Falmouth Sustainability Committee are building a Library of Things and recently conducted a survey to determine what items the residents of Falmouth would be interested in borrowing rather than purchasing. The survey provided us with a distinct list of items that are in demand by Falmouth residents.

The high demand items will be the focus of this first collection event. At this time we are looking for donations of: party equipment such as folding tables and chairs, garden equipment (non-gas powered) such as rakes, leaf blowers, etc., recreational items like tents, canoes, kayaks, board or lawn games, and tech gadgets like scanners, printers, turntables, karaoke machines, etc. We plan to hold other donation events to collect additional items after we have assessed and processed the donations from this first event.

Bring your donated items to the Falmouth Memorial Library on Saturday April 11 from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM.  The items collected will be considered for addition to the Library of Things.

If you have an item to donate and are not sure if it is of interest/need for the Library of Things, please contact Kate Jacobs, Assistant Director and Cataloger at kjacobs@falmouthmemoriallibrary.org or 207-781-2351 ext 180.

Please only donate items that are clean, in good/working condition, & are not hazardous such as items that require gasoline. Items that are accepted at the donation event(s) but are not usable for the Library of Things will be donated to a local charity.
